The European Green Crab habitats include protected rocky shores, cobble beaches, sandflats, and tidal marshes. They can also tolerate wide ranges of salinities (4-54 ppt) and temperatures (0-33 °C)

Reproduction
The European Green Crab lives for about four to seven years. Within this time the females reach sexual maturity within three years. The crabs lay their eggs during the summer months although; a female must molt her shell then after she can lay 185,000 eggs per year.
